8.4 - STUDENT EVALUATION

The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences DSc Academic Progress Committee will conduct an annual review and evaluation of each student’s progress toward meeting degree requirements. The areas that the Committee considers will include, but are not limited to:

  1. grades (A or B grades, and a grade point average of at least 3.0 all required for graduation);
  2. completion of “incomplete” (I) grades;
  3. completion of core course requirements;
  4. progress made toward completion of the doctoral thesis; and
  5. scholarly capabilities and professional development

Students will be notified in writing if their progress and performance toward satisfying degree requirements are not satisfactory.  If any areas are deficient, the DSc Academic Progress Committee will specify what each student must do to receive a satisfactory evaluation and will specify a timeline for a subsequent review.
