The mission of the postprofessional Doctor of Science (DSc) degree program in rehabilitation sciences is to prepare occupational therapists and physical therapists to be effective, responsible, and reflective members of interprofessional teams in their areas of specialization and to be innovative leaders in practice. To achieve this mission, the program provides practicing professionals an opportunity to gain information and skills needed to address complex issues in rehabilitation science through: (a) increasing their evidence-based clinical and basic sciences knowledge; (b) acquiring theoretical knowledge in an area of specialization; (c) developing skills for leadership in their professions; and (d) developing written communication skills.
